The thing I love most about being a wedding photographer, is that I get to capture great moments that people will cherish. Pictures that allow them to relive those moments, or to view and experience moments that they didn’t even know ever happened! Last week I photographed a wedding that was about as non traditional as they come. The couple drove together to the park where the ceremony was going to take place, there was no wedding party, no flowers (except for the pipecleaner bouquet that everyone in her family made a part of) and there wasn’t even an officiant! I didn’t even know that was legal in this state… but it is. But what this wedding did have was all the important stuff… lots of love and lots of great moments. At one point someone said to me, ” I’m sorry that there’s not really that much for you to photograph, I hope you’re not bored”… or something to that effect… and my response was simply that while there weren’t many of the typical or traditional type of photos that you think of when you think of wedding photography… there was an abundance of truly sweet, fun and wonderful moments happening all around, and I enjoyed every moment of hunting them down and preserving them.
Here are a few teasers…
Hope you enjoy them!
