That is the million dollar question when it comes to wedding planning. If you have a large family, several close friends and are marrying into a large family as well, then you have your work cut out for you.
Here are a few tips in preparing your list of wedding party attendants and bridesmaids:
- Prioritize what’s important to you – Is it important that all of your siblings are included? What about your spouse’s siblings? If there are too many of them, why not consider cutting off your list at a certain age? That will, hopefully, limit your selection.
- Responsible parties only please – You may have three brothers and two sisters, but are some more mature and responsible than others? Perhaps that should be a determining factor as to whom will be included. You don’t want the drama queen sister or the party animal brother ruining your nuptials.
- Lifestyle Requirements – Planning a wedding takes a lot of time. Perhaps choosing attendants and bridesmaids who can 1) afford to purchase their wedding attire, and 2) afford to put in the time your rehearsal and parties will require is the smart choice. If you know of a friend or family member who’s currently working three jobs just to pay their rent, perhaps they aren’t able to take on the responsibility required to be in a wedding at this time.
