Max and Laura came to my studio back in February to chat about photography for their upcoming wedding. During the consultation we discovered that Max and I had met and chatted at length about a year earlier when I stopped to talk to him at a festival I had taken my family to. Max was displaying his vintage WWII Willy Jeep along with some other vintage vehicles and I love old military vehicles… so we started talking about that and he then asked me about the camera I was carrying. It turns out the Max has a passion for photography and is a bit of a photographer himself, so of course we chatted about that for a bit until my son was bored and wanted to move on. So I thought that was a funny coincidence. Laura and Max also shared with me that the love the show Downton Abbey and they said there might be a bit of a Downton Abbey theme to the wedding… at that point I had never watched an episode the show, but I had been meaning to since I’d kept hearing good things about it year after year. So the day after our consultation I made it a point to to watch the first episode of the show and I completely fell in love with it… I think I watch the entire first season in a few days!
Anyhow when they hired me to photograph their wedding I was honored to be on board, and I was excited to photograph Max rocking his vintage top hat from 1910.
Here are some teaser images from their wedding at Talamore Country Club. It was a beautiful day and a really fun and unique wedding. After all, how many times do you get to photograph wedding where the are people wearing vintage hats, tuxes with tails, pocket watches and are having conversations about their favorite mustache waxes?!
Enjoy the teasers!!
