You’ll be photographed with your wedding bouquet throughout your entire wedding day.   Here are a few suggestions on how to keep your wedding bouquet looking fresh:

• Store the bouquet in the packaging the florist used for delivery until just before the ceremony.
• Clip the ends of the flowers at an angle. Snip off just 1/2 inch to form new watering channels for the flowers, and place them back into their original water. Flowers should refresh within an hour.
• Ensure there is enough water for the bouquet to rest in after the ceremony, to remain fresh.

• Take out an ad or billboard with your proposal written on it.
• Send your girlfriend/boyfriend on a scavenger hunt.  All destinations for the scavenger hunt should be related to your relationship, where you had your first kiss, where you knew you fell in love, your first date, etc .  The last destination should be you holding a ring in your hand waiting to propose.
• Create a paper trail.  Stick post-its with love declarations to pave the way to you.  Each post it should have something unique and special about your girlfriend/boyfriend written on it.   Your soon to be fiance will be greatly impressed to see so many wonderful words on those small yellow pieces of paper.

An engagement is special so make sure you commemorate it with a photographer.  We have many ideas that will help make your proposal memorable and unique.

 Kids love to dance and a wedding is the perfect time for them to bust a move.

Some children aren’t the dancing kind and would rather watch paint dry than be at a wedding.  That’s exactly why this little boys mom made sure she brought a whole table of toys for the wedding day to keep her kids occupied.  I thought it was very thoughtful.

Regardless if your children or the children invited to your wedding are party animals or reserved, remember to include them and you’ll have precious memories that last a lifetime.

While I kept my eye open for “real” shots of their wedding guests, I couldn’t help capturing these gals at the photobooth.  They were so cute I had to steal them from the photobooth and take their picture.

As you can see, triple trouble is a very good description of this trio.

A bride’s shoes (in my experience) have always been a big deal to her.  The sad part is they usually get scratched and scuffed up and then they’re never worn again; a single day of glorious beauty is the life of a wedding shoe.

Homemade wedding favors don’t have to be labor extensive in order to be unique. If you’re thinking of giving a photo frame wedding favor personalized with your wedding photos, think bulk purchase.  If you buy a simple frame and load it with your favorite engagement photo you’ve created a beautiful memento that everyone will enjoy!

The short answer is…not if you have a great photographer.  A great wedding photographer will notice these things before shooting and adapt accordingly.

If you do get grass stains on the bottom of your wedding dress you need not fret.   Try an oxygen-based cleaner. This works very well for dresses made of polyester satin, as well as natural materials. Add a scoop of the cleaning powder to a spray bottle of warm water and mix with a straw or spoon–don’t shake.  Allow it to soak in for the amount of time suggested on the package.

A great photographer will remember to ask for these types of poses…or better yet, they’ll be following you around looking for those funny “in the moment” shots.  Is your photographer known for doing that?  Check out their portfolio to see if shots like these are there.  You only have one wedding day…
